We took the shuttle to the rock and considered walking the 8km around the rock, but it was really, really wet. So we returned to the hotel, had lunch, considered our plans, bought a hotel poncho for Karen, and took the shuttle out again. The climb was closed; too dangerous when wet and/or in the rain.
